Memory After Belsen – After liberation, tens of thousands had no homes to return to. From 1945-1950 Bergen Belsen became a Displaced Persons Camp. This feature-length documentary explores the lives and memories of survivors of the Bergen Belsen DP Camp. Through the memory and recollections of these survivors, their children and grandchildren, the film investigates the changes occurring within and the many dimensions of Holocaust memory through the generations. “Memory After Belsen” weaves together a visual tapestry of people whose family histories position them as stewards of Holocaust remembrance.
